FANTASTIC Morning Everybody!
Here is this week’s edition of Three Thought Thursday:
- “One of the most underrated skills in business right now is being nice.” – Mark Cuban
People might not remember what you did, or what you said, but they will ALWAYS remember how you made them feel. Emotional intelligence means having a good understanding of yourself, self-control, empathy, and an understanding of people’s needs, decisions, and desires. When you approach people, proposals, and projects with pure and honest intentions, you vibrate at a higher frequency and this in turn benefits all parties! [Shout out Angela Kramer for the above article!]
- “Embrace the struggle.”
I recently attended RSM’s New Owner Meeting in Newport Beach and the West Region Partner utilized the analogy of a butterfly fighting to come out of its cocoon to explain this concept. See, a butterfly is supposed to struggle in its attempt to exit its cocoon. In fact, the butterfly’s struggle to push its way through the tiny opening of the cocoon pushes the fluid out of its body and into its wings. Without the struggle, the butterfly would never, ever fly. Without the struggle, you and I would never, ever grow! Embrace the grind!
- “The time will never be perfect. So you can only make perfect use of your time.” – Daymond John
Most of us live with the stubborn illusion that we will always have tomorrow to do today’s work. We consistently hold on to this belief and keep procrastinating until work becomes unbearable. There is never a perfect time for you to take action. If it feels right, go for it today. Don’t wait until everything is just perfect or right. Get started now. There is never a perfect time for you to launch that project, to spend time with your family, to write a book, change your habit, or embrace a new hobby. Once you acknowledge this, your efficiency (and love for yourself) will skyrocket!
Make today your MASTERPIECE!
