AMAZING Morning Everybody!
Are you ready for some Thrilling Thursday Thoughts?!
- “Be more interested than interesting.” – Unknown
It is becoming a rare experience to feel that people are interested in us, much less that anyone would take the time or make the effort to understand or get to know us. During conversations, many of us focus all of our attention on what we can say to make our counterpart think we are smart, clever or cool, but this bad habit is the reason we feel so disconnected. If you show interest in others (vs. waiting your turn to talk), you’re giving people something they don’t get enough of. They relax and enjoy the experience. Our identities are essentially composed of what we feel, think, and do. Engaging in active listening by utilizing eye contact and asking questions shows the other person that you are sincere and that you care. This practice not only aides you in winning friends and influencing people, it teaches you A TON about humans and the world around you.
- “What you appreciate, appreciates.” – Lynne Twist
This is true in every area of our lives: money, personal relationships, and business! The more we focus on intentionally appreciating what we have in our life, the more it grows. This simple act has the power to expand the creativity and the success we experience. However, if your attention is on the problems, lack of money, or scarcity, then that is where your consciousness resides. Appreciation is the nucleus of abundance. Appreciation is available to all of us, anywhere and anytime. In appreciation of all that we are and already have, we can re-awaken possibilities, identify a vision, make a commitment, and act on it!
- “Be blissfully dissatisfied.” – Ed Mylett
The most common human condition is “I will be happy when…” Many make their happiness contingent upon a future event or accomplishment. However, happiness is truly an inside job. I encourage you to be happy, yet dissatisfied. There is no relationship between being unhappy and being dissatisfied! You can be happy and still be dissatisfied. Being dissatisfied motivates you to grow! With this type of mindset, you can be happy while mindfully continuing to strive for what you want out of life!
Enjoy what comes of day!
